Reviews
This is the only pen that writes in extreme heat or cold, under water, over most grease and at any angle. The original was first used by NASA astronauts. Unlike regular pens, this patented, nitrogen-pressurized cartridge with thixotropic ink does not require gravity to ensure ink flow. Metal with laser-engraved Smithsonian logo.
3.75"l.
Museum Provenance
The original pens of this type used by the astronauts are on view in the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum.
Every Smithsonian purchase will arrive with a museum provenance card explaining how it is adapted from or inspired by an object or objects in our collection.
disappointed in the packaging. Looks like its for a child. Thought we would receive the provenance card with explanation adapted from piece in museum. Yes there was something written on the cardboard surround. Decided to give something else. Would not give as a gift.

Comments about Bullet Space Pen:
I bought this for my husband. He goes Geocaching and the sign-in logs are often wet. This pen will always be in his pocket when geocaching. He was thrilled that there are refills in many colors, including his favorite ... purple! He thinks it's the best gift he's gotten in many years.

Comments about Bullet Space Pen:
I use this pen during and after excursions; it handles even freezing-cold weather without a hitch, and it withstands the elements better than the materials I write on. It can't be beat for reliability. Its NASA history is a bonus and nice talking point.
